Dragon Burn is a true example of “form follows function.” In 2017, my daughter and I regularly visited a local gaming shop to play Dungeons & Dragons. One constant frustration was rolling dice on a flat surface without a tray, which often led to dice rolling off the table and us crawling on the floor to retrieve them. We also found ourselves wishing for a way to conveniently store our dice, miniatures, and other gaming accessories. Searching online, we discovered plenty of dice trays, but most were either too expensive or served no purpose beyond holding dice.

We wanted something more—a functional piece that could store our gear and also serve as a dice tray. Realizing that this product didn’t exist, we set out to create it ourselves. And so, the first Nat20 dice box was born. We designed a hollow wooden book that could store our items when not in use and double as a dice tray during gameplay.

When we brought our new dice boxes to our next game night, others at the table immediately took notice and asked where they could get one. That sparked an idea—why not sell them? In 2018, we opened our Etsy shop, and the response was incredible. Since then, we’ve sold thousands of dice boxes and expanded our product line to include other accessories for gamers. Today, we proudly offer our creations on our website, DragonBurn.com, continuing our journey to provide functional, unique solutions for tabletop gamers.
